The AIA Dallas Tour of Homes, now in its 18th year, returns on October 26-27, 2024, presenting a unique opportunity to experience some of the finest residential architecture in North Texas. Presented by Eggersmann Kitchens & Home Living, the tour offers attendees a curated glimpse into eight extraordinary homes spread across East Dallas, Preston Hollow, Highland Park, and North Dallas.
Homes on the tour highlight a range of styles, from historic renovations to cutting-edge contemporary designs, all crafted by acclaimed Dallas architects. This year’s architects include A. Gruppo Studio, A. Michael Architecture, AMDG Studio, Laura Juarez Baggett Studio, Lionel Morrison, FAIA Emeritus, Lloyd Lumpkins, Architect, Studio Lema, SHM Architects, and Studio Park Architecture.
This year’s tour promises an eclectic mix of architectural ingenuity featuring a variety of design details. Tour-goers will explore homes showcasing unconventional structural framing, a meticulously restored mid-century property that survived a 2019 tornado, and a contemporary residence designed for both large social gatherings and intimate family living. Each project exemplifies the creativity and craftsmanship that define North Texas’ architectural landscape.
Event co-chairs, Jarod Fancher, AIA, and Andrew Stiglmeier, AIA, emphasize the thoughtful selection of homes, stating, “AIA Dallas’ Tour of Homes is a natural extension of what AIA Dallas seeks to do: celebrate the beauty, diversity, and functionality of architecture across North Texas,” said Fancher. “The Home Tour committee thoughtfully curated this year’s tour to feature some of Dallas’ best architects and their exceptional designs. The selected homes have thoughtful intentionality and highly curated finishes that meet their clients’ needs while also highlighting their unique styles,” added Stiglmeier.
In addition to the self-guided tour, a special premiere party on October 24 will be held in a stunning Spanish Revival-style home in Frisco. Designed by Lloyd Lumpkins, AIA, and inspired by the homeowner’s travels, this exclusive venue features commissioned artwork and intricate interior details. The event offers an elevated experience, complete with live music, hors d’oeuvres, and conversations with the tour architects.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now with early bird pricing at $50 and $60 after October 21. VIP Premiere Party tickets, which include access to the full tour, are priced at $125. For architecture enthusiasts and design lovers, this tour is not to be missed, offering a rare peek into some of Dallas’ most remarkable homes.
