The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) Annual Juried Membership Exhibition is set to return for a fourth year to the Mary Tom?s Gallery in the Dallas Design District. Opening with a reception this Saturday, the exhibition will run through September 5. Promised is a unique experience that will ?delight patrons looking for new discoveries.?
Founded in 1966, the CAC hosts hundreds of classes and workshops each year, across a wide range of disciplines. Offering the opportunity for the nonprofit?s membership, spanning from teens to seniors, beginners to seasoned artists, to display and sell in a professional setting, this unique exhibition presents 20-30 works selected from 150 entries. This year?s jurors include sculptor and SMU faculty member Deborah Ballard, Barfield Design creative director Karla Barfield, and gallery owner and director?Mary Tom?s.
Set to accompany the CAC exhibition at the Mary Tom?s Gallery is RADAR, presenting the works of several emerging artists. They include Sandra Lara, Riley Holloway,?and?Megan Ping, each highlighted by the contemporary arts destination as ?showing tremendous potential for growth.?
The CAC Annual Juried Membership Exhibition and RADAR opening reception will take place this Saturday, August 8, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 1110 Dragon Street in Dallas.
