At the center of the thriving Dallas Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center showcases over 300 modern masterpieces from the collection of Raymond and Patsy Nasher. Within this Renzo Piano-designed museum, and surrounding landscape by Peter Walker, works by Rodin, Picasso, Matisse, Mir?, and countless more, captivate local and international audiences. What better setting for a night to remember?
This Friday, August 21 marks the latest installment of ?Til Midnight at the Nasher. Calendars across town are marked with a gold star for the chance to enjoy a live concert and film screening under the stars in the Nasher Garden. Singer-songwriter Wesley Geiger and Dallas indie rock band TEAM* are set to take the stage, followed by a family-friendly screening of The Lego Movie. Scavenger hunts and progressive tours round out the can?t-miss event. Of special note, the work of renowned British sculptor, Phyllida Barlow, is also currently on view.
Multiple creative components and a world-class setting have historically combined for vibrant, well-attended ?Til Midnight events. ?There’s so much art and new life coming into the city,? says Rico Andradi of this months?s upcoming featured band. ?It’s?refreshing to see all the?positive feedback and support from the Dallas community for events such as this.?
?Til Midnight at the Nasher kicks off at 6 p.m. this Friday, August 21. The event is free and open to the public; additional events are scheduled for September 18 and October 16.
