HENRY C. BECK JR. PARK

Xxavier Edward Carter: Where There Art Mountains Move

Friday, April 22, 4:00pm – 4:30pm

Henry C. Beck Jr, Park — 1807 Ross Avenue at N. Akard St.

Following his buzzy 2021 performance in Miami Beach, this reimagining of the Sisyphus myth places the artist in the K, moving the remains of his rock to a higher ground one push at a time. As fragmented as ourselves after tragedy and victory, this return to the struggle signified that, in a modern world, there is always work to be done.

CLOSING OUT THE WEEK

The Eye Ball Returns!

Saturday, April 23, 7:30pm – 10:00pm

The Lawn in front of The Joule Hotel — 1530 Main St.

Presented by Headington Companies, the annual Dallas Art Fair closing party is a spectacular outdoor event held on the lawn in front of Tony Tasset’s 30-feet-tall eyeball sculpture at The Joule, benefitting the Dallas Art Fair Foundation’s museum and student education initiative. Tickets Required.
