On November 8, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science opened its doors for one of Dallas’ most anticipated philanthropic evenings, the annual Night at the Museum gala. This year’s event, chaired by Shelly and Michael Dee in honor of Sally and Forrest Hoglund, transformed the museum’s five floors into a nocturnal playground of discovery, dining, and design. The event buzzed with activity and the aroma of delectable food by Wolfgang Puck, as guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Guests were invited to wander through the museum’s immersive exhibits while enjoying an evening that fused science with style. From the Motion of Mac and Living Crudité Bar to an Off the Bone action station and inventive cocktails like the Sorbete de Sangria de Cava and sparkling Aqua Pearl, the night was a multisensory experience. A standout highlight, the 10-Minute Restaurant, reimagined the museum gift shop as a pop-up fine-dining venue, offering guests a taste of culinary theater amid the artifacts and curiosities—a sure-fire hit.
True to its mission, the Perot Museum used the occasion to celebrate curiosity, innovation, and community. The evening raised more than $2 million to fund the museum’s educational initiatives, including financial aid programs, field trips, outreach efforts, and discounted admissions that extend the museum’s impact to hundreds of thousands of students and families each year.
For attendees, the night offered a reminder of what makes the Perot Museum a cornerstone of Dallas culture: a place where imagination meets inquiry, where adults can have just as much fun as children, and where science becomes a shared celebration of wonder.
