Saks and the Dallas Contemporary Converge at the Thompson Hotel to Celebrate the Museum’s Fall Programming

Gathered at the Thompson Dallas hotel, artists, philanthropists, and art collectors shared an artfully delightful evening in celebration of the opening of the Dallas Contemporary museum’s fall exhibitions, including four concurrent solo presentations by artists Peter Halley-CELL GRIDS, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov-paintings about paintings, Shilpa Gupta-for, in your tongue, i cannot fit and Renata Morales-inane and mundane evolutionary tales of fear love and horror. Saks Fifth Ave. greeted guests with champagne and custom cocktails by LALO Tequila.

Dinner was served Al fresco complete with floral installations by Bottega de Flores’s Nolan Kiser and a custom-made menu by the Thompson Dallas’s chef de cuisine Jeramie Robison. The night came to a close with a performance by soul musician Abraham Alexander, who made a quick stop from his fall tour with Leon Bridges just for the special evening celebrating the return of fall exhibitions-and maybe the beginnig of normalcy.
