There?s no better way to beat the Dallas heat than to sip cold drinks in an award-winning, air-conditioned gallery surrounded by beautiful books, jewelry, artwork, plants, and sounds from some of the area?s most talented musicians. In that spirit, Circuit12 Contemporary thoughtfully presents, Not So Cruel Summer, an afternoon of art and an evening of music this Saturday, July 22.
Beginning at noon, PRIMER, Circuit12?s retail boutique, offers an array of new products and art from Dan Lam, Shamsy Roomiani, Built By Bender, Tamar Navama, Otter Illustration and Wild Garnet. There will also be discounts on clearance and existing merchandise, and Dallas Design District residents receive an additional 10% discount on the day of the event.
Starting at 6 p.m. local musicians Rat Rios, Drew Chappa, DJ Enodlena, and Francine Thirteen will perform live. The pop-up concert will be accompanied by projected visuals by Mike Morris. The Levee Street space also offers the summer group show, Double Edged, featuring artwork by REVOK, Rachel Owens, Paul Anthony Smith, Lauren Silva, Kris Pierce, Jimmy Baker, Manny Prieres and Amber Renaye.
The event is free, however, there is a suggested donation of $5 to support the Dallas art community. For this caliber of artistry and performance, you?re not going to find a better way to spend $5 or a Saturday evening.
