The Cedars Union will host its annual Minerva’s Feast fundraiser on Friday, February 27, bringing together artists, collectors, and supporters for an evening of studio visits, direct artist engagement, and a four-course curated meal. The event takes place at the organization’s South Ervay Street facility beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Named for the Roman goddess of wisdom and the arts, Minerva’s Feast is the nonprofit artist residency’s signature fundraising event. Proceeds support studio space, tools, and professional development programming for emerging artists in North Texas.
This year’s event will feature work by artists from Cohort V, the organization’s current residency class running from spring 2025 through summer 2026. The 18-member cohort includes Ray Albarez, Alvaro Arroliga, Harrison Blake, Katherine Covarrubias, Mcat Davis, Maria Esswein, Jordan Funk, Anthony Tungning Huang, Matthew Jones, Felicia Jordan, Kevron Madden, Eliana Miranda, Bao Nghi Ngo, Karla Ramirez-Santin, Anna Redman, Chukwudi Ukonne, José Vázques Ramírez, and Leigh Ann Williams Hickey.
Founded as an artist residency and workspace in the Cedars neighborhood, The Cedars Union provides emerging artists with subsidized studio space and access to professional development resources. The organization operates on a cohort model, rotating new artists through multi-month residencies.
Lynn McBee and Paige McDaniel will serve as this year’s event chairs. Tickets start at $1,500, with underwriting opportunities available at higher levels, including invitations to future private collection tours and studio receptions.
