It is in our humble opinion that there is no such thing as too much art, there are only too few opportunities to view it. That’s where The Other Art Fair comes in. The Other Art Fair was created as an experience that is inclusive, inspiring, evocative, and fun. Combining boundary-pushing yet affordable works from 130 independent artists with immersive installations, performances, interactive features, and more. Here, art is for everyone and there is plenty to go around. This year, the fair will run from May 12–15, 2022 at Dallas Market Hall.
Additionally, since the fair is presented by Saatchi Art in partnership with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE®, Bombay will be providing custom cocktails all weekend; one free cocktail is included with each fair ticket. There’s nothing quite like strolling the fair and speaking and interacting directly with artists with a gin and tonic in hand.
Other than experiencing the work of over one hundred artists, this year, guest artist Anna Marie Tendler will craft scenes and capture portraits in a pop-up portrait studio throughout the weekend. Visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to have their portrait taken by Tendler herself, inspired by Rooms in the First House, her photography series, and the astrological First House of Self.
A place for shared experiences between artists and the community, attendees can also anticipate local-to-Dallas features that fuel the melting pot of individuality, creativity, and inspiration. There are opportunities to learn watercolor techniques in an interactive workshop led by Brie Milam; feel the music move through your body from live DJ sets by DJ Unladylike and DJ Save Aves; and lose yourself in mind-bending art installations by Corey Godfrey and Cristina Ayala. Plus, Latina-owned plant shop raíz plant studio will have a curated plant and pot selection available for plant-lovers.
