The American Institute of Architects Dallas Chapter has announced the return of its annual Tour of Homes, presented by eggersmann Kitchens & Home Living, taking place Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26. Now in its 19th year, the two-day event highlights eight architect-designed residences that reveal how architecture shapes the ways people live, work, and connect across Dallas.
This year’s homes are located in North Dallas, Far North Dallas, Northwest Dallas, the Urban Reserve, Turtle Creek, Preston Hollow, and Kessler Park/Oak Cliff. The tour offers a broad view of the city’s residential landscape, from a modern hacienda with a motor court to a net-zero-energy home blending sustainability with refined simplicity. Other stops include a meticulously restored historic property, a duplex designed for contemporary living, and a ranch-inspired residence created for entertaining and canine companionship.
Event co-chairs Jarod Fancher, AIA, and Justin Leal, AIA, describe the 2025 selection as representative of the city’s architectural breadth, featuring “a thoughtfully renovated home with an addition in a historic neighborhood, a net-zero energy small home, an upscale duplex, and a modern, ranch-inspired residence designed for effortless entertaining and a dog lover’s dream.”
The self-guided tour runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, with tickets available beginning August 15 at hometourdallas.com. General admission tickets are $55 before October 21 and $65 afterward.
A separately ticketed Premiere Party will be held Thursday, October 23, at a Lakewood residence designed by Bentley Tibbs Architect. The Texas ranch–inspired estate serves as both a luxury home and a state-of-the-art facility for dog training, grooming, and boarding. Tickets for the event, priced at $150, include admission to the full weekend tour, live music, hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar.

Since its founding in 2006, the AIA Dallas Tour of Homes has been the only citywide home tour. Each year, an AIA jury of peers selects featured projects that demonstrate design excellence, material innovation, and the evolving character of Dallas architecture. AIA Dallas, the sixth largest chapter of the American Institute of Architects, represents more than 2,500 members and 300 firms through education, advocacy, and public programming.
